Do I have to wear a face mask when visiting?

Yes. You must wear a face covering at all times inside of our stores, unless you are fully seated in one of our cafes or restaurants or are exempt for medical reasons. This is a legal requirement.

Are there places to eat or drink?

Yes. Our cafes and restaurants are open and look forward to welcoming you. In line with Government guidance, they will stop taking orders at 10pm, and will close by 11pm. Please check opening hours here.

Can I travel to visit Whiteley Shopping?

The Government is advising those living in Tier 2 / High local Covid alert level areas to reduce the number of journeys made where possible.

We’ve adapted our car parks to help everyone keep a safe distance when visiting us.

All car parks are open and operating as usual with the exception of our Market Square car park.

This is only open to customers with pre-booked appointments at Lush Dogs, Specsavers, Skin Squared or Hair Ott.  

Our seven car parks are all equipped with CCTV. 

Blue Badge spaces are available in the East, North A, Tesco and Market Square car parks. Blue Badge parking is subject to the advertised tariff, although visitors requiring additional time can contact Centre Management. Designated spaces for Parent & Child are provided in the East, North A and Tesco car parks.  

The car parks open at 7.00am and parking is free for 4 hours and £2 for 6 hours in all car parks bar Tesco (4 hour maximum stay) until 6.00pm.

There are no restrictions between 6.00pm and midnight, when the car parks close. Parking machines are located at every entrance to the shopping centre.

Where are the toilets in Whiteley?

Our toilet facilities are currently fully open and operating between the hours of 9am until 7pm.

Please note you are required to wear a face covering when using our toilets unless exempt.

Can I bring a group of children onsite as part of a school project?

Whiteley Shopping Centre is private property and a popular location for school geography field trips - as such we require all schools to contact the centre in advance to arrange their visit. Please do contact the management team on the details below at least a week prior to your intended visit date to ensure the trip is able to be booked in.  

The team will be able to provide information on where to park safely, site rules and supply you with our centre fact sheet and geography sustainability documents.

Whiteley is easily accessible by car and located just one mile from Junction 9 on the M27. After exiting the motorway, follow the signs for 'shopping centre'. If you are using a GPS or route finder system, enter PO15 7PD as the destination postcode. We have 1,300 parking spaces across seven car parks.

Is there a bike route to get to Whiteley?

There are no specific routes available but you can easily access the centre via bike.

Can I get a train to Whiteley?

Swanick Train Station is a 25 min walk away from Whiteley.

There is Security onsite 24 hours a day.

The centre is easily accessible by bus and train. The 28/28a bus service stops at Whiteley Way and the train station is a 25 minute walk away.
