Whiteley Clothes Swap Shop
Our first Clothes Swap Shop at Whiteley on Saturday 3rd August was a great success with an incredible amount of donations, swappers and brilliant feedback. We teamed up with the charity ‘Cash for Kids’ to host a FREE Clothes Swap which helps save the planet whilst bringing amazing finds to your wardrobe.
It was great to get feedback from the local community who seem keen to see the Clothes Swap Shop return so that those who missed out could get involved. So keep an eye out on our socials for another Clothes Swap in the future!
We had an amazing 403 items donated before the event and another 415 items donated on the day, making the total donations 818 for this event, 104 items were swapped while an amazing 82 people got involved.
Not only does this stop clothes going to landfill, but it also helps our nominated charity “Cash for Kids” continue supporting less fortunate kids.

Cash for Kids South Coast is dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the south from the moment they’re born up to and including the age of 18.
Their mission is to be there when they’re needed the most, helping combat poverty, illness and neglect, making living with additional needs that little bit easier, or simply offering a helping hand.
They believe that every child deserves the opportunity to thrive and be their true selves.
They support children across six key areas:
- Poverty
- Mental health and wellbeing
- Sport and physical wellbeing
- Disability and life limiting illness
- Education and essential skills
- Diversity and inclusion
Cash for Kids South Coast helped 27,514 children in 2023
Cash for Kids work with ‘Donate It Recycling’ who manage their clothes banks.
All donated clothes will either be distributed to those in need, or recycled. Cash for Kids also receive a donation from recycled clothes, to further support the important work they do in the local community.
