Meadowside Leisure Centre competition Terms & Conditions

 

 

  1. The promoter is: UNIVERSITIES SUPERANNUATION SCHEME LIMITED (Company No. 01167127) of Royal Liver Building, Pier Head, Liverpool L3 1PY and WHITELEY TRUSTEE 1 LIMITED (a company incorporated in Jersey with registration number 154111 and Overseas Entity ID OE032734) and WHITELEY TRUSTEE 2 LIMITED (a company incorporated in Jersey with registration number 154112 and Overseas Entity ID OE032735) in their capacity as the trustees of the Whiteley Shopping Centre Unit Trust and whose registered office is 3rd Floor, 44 Esplanade, St Helier, Jersey JE4 9WG and whose address for service in the United Kingdom is c/o The British Land Company Plc of York House, 45 Seymour Street, London, W1H 7LX together known as “THE WHITELEY CO-OWNERSHIP” (the “Promoter”).
  2. The title of the competition is “Meadowside Leisure Centre Competition”
  3. The competition will run from 10:00am on 25 June 2025 (the “Opening Date”) to 23:59pm on 1 July 2025 (the “Closing Date”) inclusive.
  4. All competition entries must be received by the Promoter via the entry method specified at condition 5 by no later than 23:59pm on the Closing Date. All competition entries received after this time are automatically disqualified.
  5. The competition can only be entered online by commenting your favourite workout song on the competition post on https://www.facebook.com/WhiteleyShopping by the Closing Date.
  6. The competition is free to enter and no purchase is necessary.
  7. The Promoter will not accept:
    1. responsibility for competition entries that are corrupted, not successfully completed or transmitted, lost, mislaid, damaged or delayed in transit, regardless of cause, including, for example, as a result of any postal failure, equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, website, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or
    2. proof of posting or transmission as proof of receipt of entry to the competition.
  8. By submitting a competition entry, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  9. The Promoter will select one winner and one runner up winner at random from all qualifying entries within five days of the Closing Date.
  10. The competition is only open to all residents in the UK aged 18 years or over, except:
    1. employees of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies;
    2. employees of agents or suppliers of the Promoter or its holding or subsidiary companies, who are professionally connected with the competition or its administration; or
    3. members of the immediate families or households of (a) and (b) above.
  11. The Promoter may ask the winner and the runner up winner to provide proof of age.
  12. In entering the competition, you confirm that you are eligible to do so and eligible to claim any prize you may win. The Promoter may require you to provide proof that you are eligible to enter the competition.
  13. The Promoter will not accept competition entries that are:
    1. automatically generated by computer or created by artificial intelligence (including but not limited to chatbots such as ChatGPT or similar software applications);
    2. completed by third parties or in bulk;
    3. illegible, have been altered, reconstructed, forged or tampered with;
    4. photocopies and not originals; or
    5. incomplete.
  14. There is a limit of one entry to the competition per person. Entries on behalf of another person will not be accepted and joint submissions are not allowed.
  15. The Promoter reserves all rights to disqualify you if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the prize competition.
  16. There are two prizes, the prize for the winner is a three month free gym membership at Meadowside Leisure Centre and the prize for the runner up is a one week free gym membership at Meadowside Leisure Centre. The prizes must be redeemed by 24 December 2025.
  17. The prizes are subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the prizes.
  18. The prizes are supplied by Meadowside Leisure Centre, Whiteley Way, Whiteley, Fareham, PO15 7LJ (the “Suppliers”).
  19. The prizes are not negotiable or transferable.
  20. The decision of the Promoter is final and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
  21. The Promoter will contact the winner and the runner up personally via Facebook Messenger as soon as practicable after the Closing Date, using the social media handle provided with the competition entry. The Promoter will not amend any contact information once the competition entry form has been submitted.
  22. If you are the winner or the runner up, you will have 7 days from (but excluding) the Closing Date to claim the relevant prize by responding to the private message from the Promoter on Facebook Messenger. If you do not claim the prize by this date, your claim will become invalid.
  23. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
  24. The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact the winner and the runner up. If the winner and/or runner up cannot be contacted or is not available or has not claimed their prize within 7 days of the Closing Date pursuant to condition 21, the Promoter reserves the right to offer the prize(s) to the next eligible entrant(s) selected at random from the correct entries that were received before the Closing Date.
  25. The next eligible entrant(s) selected pursuant to condition 23 above will be required to claim their prize by responding to the private message from the Promoter on Facebook Messenger within 7 days from (but excluding) the date on which the message was sent. If the prize is not claimed within the specified time period, the claim will become invalid.
  26. The Promoter does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
  27. Insofar as is permitted by law, the Promoter, its agents or distributors will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or the runner up or accept any liability for any loss, damage, personal injury or death occurring as a result of taking up the prizes except where it is caused by the negligence of the Promoter, its agents or distributors or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
  28. The Promoter will only process your personal information as set out in the https://www.britishland.com/privacy-notice.
  29. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, the Promoter may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
  30. The Promoter reserves the right to hold void, suspend, cancel, or amend the prize competition where it becomes necessary to do so.
  31. These terms and conditions shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
