The Gift of Giving Back

In 2022, we want to continue giving back to some of the amazing people and charities that do such wonderful work in our community.

We know that charities across our communities continue to need our support more than ever, so our giving box is here to stay!

Located in Market Square, visitors can use contactless payment to easily donate £1, £3 or £5  to local charities.

Charity Partners

Whiteley has announced Rose Road Association, The Cat Welfare Group and Maggie’s as the latest charity partners to be supported by its Giving Box.

The centre’s Giving Box – located in Market Square – was launched in December 2020 and is designed to help the local community to easily give to local charities by using contactless payment to donate £1, £3, or £5.

In January this year, Whiteley launched a search for organisations to support in 2022, receiving more than 40 applications.

The Rose Road Association provides direct care, information and advice services for over 340 children and young adults with complex physical disabilities, learning difficulties and health needs from across Hampshire and the surrounding counties.

The Cat Welfare Group rescues stray or abandoned cats and kittens, aiming to rehome them into secure and loving homes once they’ve undergone medical checks and treatment. The money raised from the Giving Box will help to fund expensive vet bills, which are the charity’s biggest expense.

Maggie’s offers the best possible free support to people across the UK with cancer and their families, providing personalised care to help people see beyond their diagnosis and manage their stress. With a range of one-to-one and group sessions available, as well as workshops, art therapy, creative writing courses and outdoor activities, funds raised will go towards resources to help the charity continue its work.

Whiteley has also offered free advertising space in the centre to help support their cause.
